Welcome to Alberto Marchetti Gelaterie, an exquisite ice cream shop nestled in the heart of Turin on Via Po. Known for its artisanal gelato that reflects the rich culinary culture of Italy, Alberto Marchetti offers a delightful haven for anyone craving a sweet escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.
As you step inside this charming gelateria, you're greeted not just with a sense of warmth but a feast for the senses. The air is infused with tantalizing aromas of fresh ingredients and unique flavors that invite you to explore. Alberto Marchetti prides itself on crafting gelato and sorbet using high-quality, natural ingredients—many sourced from local producers—which means every scoop is genuine and bursting with flavor.
Indulge your taste buds with popular offerings like the pistachio, characterized by its creamy texture and rich nuttiness that transports you straight to nut-laden orchards. The nocciola (hazelnut) flavor is highly praised for its nuttiness and fragrance, although be prepared for a sticky situation sometimes! There's also the tantalizing apple cheesecake that combines sweet and tart with an incredibly smooth mouthfeel, perfect for those who enjoy a bit of tang. And for the adventurous, the tiramisu gelato will leave you reeling from the delightful blend of coffee and cream in every bite.
The atmosphere at Alberto Marchetti Gelaterie is lively yet laid-back, making it the perfect spot for a casual outing or a romantic date night. Pair your gelato with a freshly made cone, which customers rave about for its perfect crispiness. Ludia Aydon described the taste as “so delicious” with offerings starting at a very reasonable price of 3 euros for a small cup, ensuring a luxurious treat without breaking the bank.
While every flavor stands out, the consensus among patrons creates a short list of must-tries—many reviews highlighting the heavenly pistachio and mind-blowing hazelnut as standout favorites. Customer Dee notes that the Fior di latte is wonderful, and there’s always something special about sharing gelato with loved ones, especially from a place as cherished as this.
Alberto Marchetti Gelaterie is not just about the gelato; it is a celebration of Italian artistry and wonder. While the gelato is undeniably fantastic, some customers hint at the pricing being slightly on the higher side compared to other cities like Milan, but considering the quality, it’s a small price to pay for something so delightful.
If you find yourself strolling through the enchanting streets of Turin, do not miss this delicious destination. Alberto Marchetti Gelaterie is a place where sweet memories are made, and every scoop is a story waiting to be tasted. Whether you’re a gelato aficionado or a curious traveler, your palate will thank you for the experience!

Croccanye di nocciolo is nutty and fragrant. Cone is crispy. Nocciole is unfortunately abit overly sticky.

Delicious Gelato and Sorbet! I loved the freshness and texture of gelato as well as sorbet here. They have interesting options as well.

Tried the tiramisu and lavender flavored gelato, which was decent, but not particularly surprising and not as tasty as some others I've had (or maybe it was just that both flavors tasted average). I think it's worth trying if you happen to be passing by, not worth making a special trip over.

Turino is incredible for its gelato game I have to say all the Tre coni winners had fantastic offerings. Alberto was my favourite so after trying 8 during my recent trip I returned to this one over the others though I do find the price quite high for the portion size even comparing to Milano. Fior di latte is wonderful as was the pistachio and apple cheesecake. They do a delicious takeaway tiramisu also not dissimilar to the famous Roma one which was fabulous!
